Job Description: Senior Helpdesk Engineer
Reporting to: Service Manager
Primary Objectives: Working as part of the HelpDesk team, the service engineer is responsible for the timely delivery of support to our large range of maintenance customers.

As a Senior Helpdesk Engineer you will be supporting our extensive range of customers in the Leinster area. You will have 4 – 5 years’ experience in maintaining Windows Server based networks. Experience in Enterprise level server deployment and administration is highly desirable. In return you will be trained to the highest standards and work within a team of highly experienced network technicians within an organisation that is at the pinnacle of IT in Ireland today.

CDSoft are at the forefront of all latest technologies including: Exchange 2010, Server 2008R2, Hyper-V and Office Communication Server. Full professional training will be offered for all new systems ensuring expert understanding, knowledge and professional recognition of your capabilities.

A full driving licence is an absolute necessity (provisional or awaiting driving test will not be accepted). You must have the ability to work proactively with clients to assess infrastructure requirements. Your communication skills must be excellent and you must be completely fluent in English. The following gives an ideas of the skills sets that are desirable:

  • Windows Servers including 2008R2
  • Exchange Server 2003 / 2007 / 2010
  • System Centre products
  • OCS 2007
  • Cisco Routers / Firewalls
  • Hyper-V / VMware
  • Symantec BackupExec
  • Sophos Anti-Virus
  • DNS / Internet Hosting

General:
Offices based in Celbridge, Co Kildare, however travel will be mainly Leinster and occasionally nationwide.
Salary Dependant on Experience (Circa: €30k+ depending on experience.)
Excellent in-house and external training and support.

As a Field Service Technician you will be supporting our extensive range of customers in the Leinster area. You will have 4 – 5 years’ experience in maintaining Windows Server based networks. Experience in Enterprise level server deployment and administration is highly desirable. In return you will be trained to the highest standards and work within a team of highly experienced network technicians within an organisation that is at the pinnacle of IT in Ireland today.
